What did you like about the class?
I liked that the class was interesting. Psychology was one of the only classes I was really interested enough to listen and take notes. I feel like I really learn't a lot.
What was your favorite activity or project?
My favorite project was doing the brain model. I loved how easy it was and the major grade derfinatly raised my average.
What didn't you like about the class?
I didn't like the tests. Most tests I felt were harder than I expected. I pay attention in class and take notes so I hated how much more I had to study despite that.
What do you think I should leave out next year?
I think you should leave out the blog. I feel like I didn't learn anything from doing this and it was just very tedious.
Do you have any suggestions or ideas for things I could do next year in AP Psych?
I think the way you taught in class was good. I can't off anything else.
Do you have any suggestions or ideas for next semester in AP Econ?
Yes; I hope for their to be projects and assignments to raise my test grades since I'm not very good at taking tests.

Procrastination
Being in high school, I am continuely surrounding with procrastination. Most students leave homework, studying, and projects to the very last minute. However according to Scientific America this doesnt change for some people. 85 to 90 college students procrastinate and 15 to 20 percent adults put off activities that would be better accomplished right away according to Scientific America.
Procrastination is learned but certain personality traits increase the likelihood a person will pick up the habit. Some scientists have researched the five personality traits that blend to decribe any human.
Procrastination affects all people. For some, the last minute stress caused better work. However, for some the procrastination can endanger health or jobs. There is still a lot of research on the subject with different theories from scientists. For me I need that last minute stress to get my work completed as I'm sure other people do to.

My Personality
Jung Typology Test
extraverted - 67%
sensing - 38%
feeling - 75%
judging - 1%
I feel the results is relatively valid. I think it does reflect my personality. However, while taking the test there was many questions that I wanted to answer with two answers causing slight invalidity to my results.
EQ Test - 40
The explanation was slightly accurate but very general. I dont think the test was very valid though. It seemed to barely ask any questions and for most the questions I didnt really have a strong opinion on. I feel like my result was just lucky with its generalization.
The Big Five
Extraversion - 54
Agreeableness - 68
Conscientiousness - 61
Neuroticism - 65
Openness to experience - 52
The results I believe are very accurate and I am surprised at the results for neuroticism. I didnt like taking the test though because there was so many questions! However the more questions probably acquire to the greater validity of the test.
Emotional Profile Test
This test was completely inaccurate. My feelings change so frequently there is no possible way I could take a test like this and get a correct result.
Sims Personality Test
5 - Neat vs Sloppy
8 - Outgoing vs. Shy
6 - Active vs. Serious
5 - Playful vs. Serious
7 - Nice vs. Grouchy
I think this test was valid. I felt I could accurately answer the questions however I dont think it asked enough questions to get the detailed results that it did.

Dear Mother
Part 1- My average rating was 3 for the slideshow.
Part 2-
Dear Mother,
Despite the fact I miss you so much, I love college. I am working so hard and making really good grades in my classes. All the teachers compliment my extreme organization. They say I am definatly going to succeed with the perfection of my work and notes. I dont see how anyone does it different. Some of my classmates have paper sticking out of the sides of their notebooks sometimes and it bothers me so much. I dont know how they can leave it that way. I am trying to accommodate with my roommate but she is just so diffucult. I write a neat list of groceries on the fridge and then she scribbles something on the side of it causing me to start over and write a whole new list. My job is going great. I continuely organize everything around the store which my boss loves. She just gave me a raise. I save it all though just in case something bad happens. I cant wait to see in three weekends, that is when I have planned to come home.

Acute Stress Disorder
Case Study 10: A 36-year-old man and his young son were driving through an intersection when another car ran through a red traffic light and struck them. The two were trapped in the car until a fire department rescue team freed them. The patient was bruised but not seriously hurt. His son had a broken leg. The first few days after the accident the patient was preoccupied with arranging care for his son and getting the car repaired. A few days later he began having recurrent distressing thoughts and images of the accident. Theses symptoms lasted for several weeks. The memory of his son’s screams after the car was struck seemed particularly vivid. The patient became irritable, had difficulty concentrating, and avoided talking about the accident. He went out of his way to avoid driving down the street where the accident occurred. As time went on he could no longer remember whether the traffic light was red or green when he approached it.
Acute Stress Disorder
-the person experienced, witnessed, or was confronted with an event or events that involved actual or threatened death or serious injury, or a threat to the physical integrity of self or others.
-The traumatic event is persistently reexperienced in at least one of the following ways: recurrent images, thoughts, dreams, illusions, flashback episodes, or a sense of reliving the experience; or distress on exposure to reminders of the traumatic event.
-Marked symptoms of anxiety
I think the man is affected with Acute Stress Disorder. His symptoms match the symptoms of this disorder above. Psychotherapy is the best way to help this situation. The man needs to get closure over the incidence. His anxiety only seems to be increasing.

Abraham Lincoln suffered from depression

Abraham Lincoln was born on Sunday, February 12, 1809, in a log cabin near Hodgenville, Kentucky. He was the son of Thomas and Nancy Hanks Lincoln. Thomas Lincoln was a carpenter and farmer. He married Mary Todd and had 12 children, with only 2 living past the age of 12. Lincoln was elected the 16th President on November 6, 1860. He led the country through the Civil War and is famous for his Gettysburg Address. Despite the fact he led the country with great strength, even through the countries greatest internal crisis, he suffered from depression his whole life.
Abraham Lincoln lived through many losses of loved ones, starting at a young age. Some events affected him more than others. After the death of a women he loved his friends felt the need to remove all razors and weapons from his house with the belief he had gone crazy. As President, Lincoln learned to live with negative thoughts and not dwell on them. He used methods such as humor and story-telling to hide his depressive state. Only his closest friends knew of his condition. Fortunately Lincoln's depression did not affect his career. He used inner strength and was able to beat his depression for his country.
Depression affects many people everywhere. There is all different extents of depression in people and some people can fight it better than others. Nowadays we have therapy and medicine for people affected with this disorder. For people in Lincoln's time and even after it were unaware of positive thinking and cognitive therapy. Even now there isnt a for sure cure for depression. I think it seems like a very diffucult thing to live with. Lincoln had great determination to overcome it and do all he did as president.
